cool!, if i were doing it i would get the tracked one and have the option of bolting it on to the bed and tow a quad trailer asell for the chip. but that is all dream stuff just now.

Originally, you didn't want anything on tracks and you wanted to leave the chips in the back garden!!!

full circle right enough mate, yet the tracked barrow weighs about 150kg compared to 1500kg, the quad trailer boled onto it would be for shuttling it around the garden if needed or even back out to the roadside if needed. i worked out approx 5 huge armfulls made up a wheely bin, yet the wheely bin of chip leaves no mess/drag marks/or having to tidy a mess up outside. i have a plan but never stick to it, if i change my mind while aiming to do one thing because something has influenced it, then i will. i can only work on my experience the rest is theory, everyday i try something different now, because i can afford to and i have the time to do it, i was set in my ways for years and wouldnt listen to anyone else. now my ears are open and my mind is ready for new ideas. even today i got word that my groundie cant manage next week because i cant guarantee the weather and he has work offered elsewhere, which is fine by me as he has his bills to pay, but my 2 different jobs are now keeping all chip and firewood. each job is approx 1-2 hrs away from home, well out of my usual range. but as it is only me and gloria(thats what i named little chipper) then there is no worries, each job is really good in beautiful surroundings doing nice work, not my usual fell/pollard/top/lop give someone a view or conny bash. so i can relax and enjoy my job. the ability to adapt to a situation makes life so much easier.:thumbup1:

Hope it's just work you and 'Gloria' get up to when you're out there on your own....! :001_huh:

Had to get a new hydraulic motor for my chipper the other day - £300. Could you take one of these that could come off the pump and be pushed onto a cog that then drove the 2 main wheels? It would then just have to have a manual lever to control pressure and therefore speed...

Just an idea..
