looking to get one within the next 2weeks (3.5t)

 

Does anyone here have one or have owned one in past? would like to know the Plus and negatives?

Good pionts. Carries a load well, loads of power, pretty narrow.

 

Bad pionts. Very bad on fuel compared to other 3.5tippers

A guy i know has a canter, it carrys a load extremely well, plenty of power, Cracking van imo, as said though, hes told me in the past its thirsty on juice compared to his old transit

The merc agent down the road has canter dealership as well . Speaking to engineers they thought price of parts was very high. Brake service on rear axle £800

I've got a 3/way tipping 3.5t Canter and, as said before, it carries loads well (even with the huge high sides I put on!)

 

Parts are a little pricey but pattern parts are available (lamp lenses etc.). A bit heavy on the juice but mine's a double-cab and pulling a Timberwolf 190.

 

If you're using it in hot weather, I've found the one design fault is the rad. Not enough air passes over it and the intercooler is stuck in front of it!

 

All round a good, tough truck.

What does a double cab canter with three way tipper and high sides weigh? According to manufacturers spec the chassis/ crewcab alone weighs either 2255 o 2280 kgs depending on the model, so with a tipper on it and pulling a 190 TW it would suck some diesel!

They are heavy, bad on diesel,expensive, but drive nice and look good.
