I had similar stuff with mine a while back , cleaned the carb , put a new fuel filter in , still the same . Last chance saloon , changed the plug and off she went .

Bingo.

Running well again but will bury it into some beech to be sure!

Aye. It's getting serviced this afternoon. Mobile dealer happened to be passing through this pm. I'll show him.

Have changed from husqvana xp oil to stihl oil earlier this spring.

Thanks.

Looks mega rich, looks like either the air filter is blocked making it that way or the carb H screw needs some adjustment. It could be just too much oil being added to the fuel - 50:1 is normal.

The electrodes on the plug should be the colour of coffee with milk added!

It may be worth checking the exhaust port is clean as well, carbon can form near where it enters the cylinder and can fall in causing scuffs to the piston!

Thanks Spud. I'm good at cleaning the saw and the air filter gets blown off. I mix my own fuel and confident it's correct.

I'll get the guy to check adjustment.

Thanks.
