Tell you what people would have a go at is footlocking with no knots, set a line up and let people try footlocking with a safety line attached. When they get as far as they can just let go and lower them back down ??

straight climb up a big rope with only your arms, no legs. stick on a ball crunching drop harness with a life line belayed attached to their back.
