This makes complete sense to me....

 

Thank you Greens! Now other parties too must keep us safe from pesticides - The Ecologist

 

"Secure protection of rural residents and communities from exposure to pesticides sprayed on nearby crop fields and prohibit the use of pesticides in the locality of homes, schools and children's playgrounds."

It is rather back-to-front that there should be "poison-free" zones imo.

Just like "Organic", why does "caution, this produce could pose less risk your health and the world as a whole" need a label when there is not one that says: "The pork in this pie is made with meat from animals that have had a life not worth living, and plants that have been doused in known carcinogens"

The less pesticides in foods the better, as far as I'm concerned. However, this is part of the Green Party manifesto and will almost certainly never be implemented by the greens themselves.

 

One of the better ideas from their newly published manifesto, shame about some of their other policies.

Very true, and I agree.... but it would be good to see at least a little bit of a step in a sensible direction with regulation.
