When your turnover hits a little under £80K, you much go VAT reg, obviously the amount you charge dictates whether you hit £80K or not

 

i know that dave i was pulling yr leg

 

but on the flip side yr day can depend on how man days you do ,were as the threshhold is £79k + by 52wks =£1519.23,but if you reduce that to 42wks £1880.95.still a good wage to be made from both figures depending on out goings,

 

no doubt you will find some in there to chew @

Jonny, £1880 per week is just over £375 per day, which is well within the figures I posted and pretty poor IMO, so I'm not sure of your point

No way I would sub in a man and machine in for £500, I pay £300+VAT for a day and £175+VAT for half day. I would not expect 8 hours with no breaks mind.

 

£500 direct to the customer may be achievable, but seems very high to me, many two man gangs with truck and chipper, are not charging that.
