I'm not sad or bitter. I'm the first one to congratulate anyone that as worked hard and succeeded. I just don't like the greed, look after your own sort of attitude. Let's hope you and yours never fall on hard times!

 

I'm with you on this Eggs. Theres a big difference between the working hard, doing well for yourself attitude and the greedy, me first one. What concerns me is rising inequality, limited opportunity and the consequent effect on social cohesion.

If those preaching here about how shocking things are all ran large organisations, employing lots of staff, all on fantastic wages and with brilliant conditions I would be more inclined to listen

 

These people you are slagging off have gone out and put the money where their mouth is, created jobs, made business and succeeded. I feel they deserve all they get

It's also true to say a lot of chaps have invested in business only to see it fail ...you need to take a few risks.. but should be rewarded for that.

Do you run a large organisation Huck?

 

My brother did, he had to fight tooth and nail to get the rest of the directors to agree to put the lads (hundreds of them) wages up by ten bob an hour even though the company could afford it.

How about corporation tax? Is it fair that global companies (Amazon, Starbucks etc.) can avoid paying their fair share?

 

 

They should have to pay their fair share without doubt!

What's a fair wage in your opinion?

Because I have been looking at the charts various people have put links up for and I can't work out where people draw the line?
