Why I love climbing in the buff

My neckwarmer of course....never leave home without it this time of year!! I recently acquired a neckwarmer windproof buff to replace my old bog standard buff. This is from the new professional range now being distributed by Lyon equipment here in the uk. The general design hasn't changed(on the particular model im wearing) but the new technical material is definitely an improvement. As much as I swore by my old one, it did sometimes give me an almost claustrophobic feeling when I started getting a little too warm which would mean i'd have to take it off despite still wanting a bit of windproofing round my neck. Haven't really had the same issue with the professional range thanks to the technical material. This makes all the difference which is particularly important to me as the one place I get most of my aches and pains is in the neck area. Thumbs up from me :thumbup1:

Yeah love the buff, have loads as i keep mislaying them,i find they are great in wind as a sawdust filter if you pull them up over your mouth and nose, ,if it is paticularly windy or cold i wear 2 and when it warms up take one off.

So a better material sounds just the job! no more unwanted stiffies:corkysm21:

I find I get to hot using one unless really cold, but several of the lads swear by them, and my kids love them. If its cold they pull them up over there faces, the climbers with ski goggles.. Look like a right load of bandits..

You can have good fun coming up with different ways of wearing them.. and work well under the helmet.
