Got the ear defenders today. They are branded as a DeltaPlus pit radio. had a quick test.

They are actually quite comfortable.

The radio and mp3 volume is OK

I will be taping up the battery compartment as that is a weak point IMO.

Tried them on my Kubota ride on and were fine with the engine running but radio was difficult to hear once the blades were engaged.

Hand held leaf blower was fine, think a backpack blower would be pushing it.

Overall for around £30 i'm happy enough with them they will be good for pressure washing at the weekends so i can listen to the footie. For mp3 player i think i will just stick to having the ear plugs under my other ear defenders and on my forest lid for strimming.

Hope thats useful.

A wee update on these ear defenders.

Been really impressed with these this year, I have had to put a bit of gaffer tape on the head band as the seam has recently split but for the amount of use and abuse they have been getting I can't complain. The MP3 attachment has actually been OK. Using on the ride on has been OK as well and certainly makes the day a wee bit more bearable.

Obviously no good for climbing but for landscaping duties, woodwork, carving or just to keep your ears warm they have been well worth the £30 quid.
