That's ridiculous. Surely Arb/Forestry is the most manly occupation? There's no way in the world a woman could do it.

No shite, most lads in tree work are into pop, hip hop and doing their hair nowadays! From what I've seen (the people I've worked with) the days of manly tree cutters are long gone!

And women don't help to maintain the macho bravado in the industry.

Don't worry Eddy some of us are keeping the old ways still going. The only way I can do my hair is by combing it over my back from my ass !

Of course we are not manly, all we do is go on trainig courses, fill out risk assessments and work from MEWPS while wearing armoured suits.

Ten years time we will all be flight attendants or garden centre assistants.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
