You haven't been over tightening them have you Jonny?

Not being sarky just asking, I've seen blades crack most from being over tightened or not cleaning the flywheel properly when installing.

Never seen them round blades crack tho

always clean both faces to be safe ,

There is over 40mm of thick steel between the bolt hole and the cutting edge on the greenmech discs - I doubt you could crack one of them without nuking the machine.

I did  admittedly it hit the anvil when that cracked but out of curiosity I cut the blade in half and it looked like Swiss cheese, full of very very small air bubble but big anough to see without glasses on(non genuine blade) so also cut up a genuine fooked blade that had hit gravel and wore out a cutting disk doing so but steel looked completely different inside.

Mr Git, your scientific approach is to be admired, and would appear to show that there is a difference. The problem will always be that manufacturers of pattern parts will claim that theirs are made exactly the same.

The only time we ever find out, alas, is when its too late.

No doubt there's a bloke down the pub who found a 'proper' manufacturers blade that was made of cheese while the Lidl pattern part was perfect.
