I sew better than my wife. I used to do all the repairs on my saw breeks, but there's a lassie in the next village who is a seamstress and has an open fire. Didn't take too long to come to an arrangement. :thumbup1:

I had to buy my own sewing machine off the flea market, bargain for £5. My missus stopped me using hers to sew vinyl, leather and webbing and other heavy fabric as hers is a posh one. I've put zips in trousers and coats and made pouches and many other useful items all to my own pattern and folks have asked for bits of jobs as well like shortening and hemming trousers.

I am a master tailor......well not quite but have taken the waist in on trousers, shortened the legs on trousers and done all sorts on a sewing machine, overlocker and with needle and thread - the wife used to make all her clothes many moons ago!

Sewing is so last year. I used fencing crimps on my zipper last week. On a safety note I wasn't wearing them at the time

Its a good job otherwise you may of ended up with a prince albert lol .
