People are usaly offended by any body that tells it as it is.

I'm afraid the btitish have become to afraid to say it as it is incase of upsetting anyone. That's why I like Arbtalk so much as people are not afraid to speak there mind.

I think he is a dangerously influential prize A pillock.

Really? Coming from someone with a name of the village idiot. ;)

I know the name probably does me no favours, but at least my avatar demonstrates that I am a man to be taken seriously.

Since reading this i've gone off him.

Jeremy Clarkson has lost a legal battle in a dispute over public access to paths near his Isle of Man lighthouse cottage holiday home.

The Top Gear presenter and his wife, Frances, claimed that having a public path so close to their property was a breach of their human rights.

A court judgement in the Isle of Man on 26 April ruled against the claim.

Deemster David Doyle came down in favour of the "rights and freedoms" of the general public to walk in the area.

Speaking in 2009, Frances Clarkson spoke of her family's "ordeal" over the access dispute.

There are 2 problems here, firstly we the public make ordinary people just because we find them entertaining into celebrities allowing them to believe they're better then us when in reality all they are doing is their job.

Just as you or I would spend our days cutting trees up they spend theirs in front of a camera, the bottom line for them is like us its a job, they get paid to do what they enjoy only now, because weve made them famous they can no longer behave the way they used to..

Unlike us when we've had a bad day we may shout and swear at our co-workers then sort it out over a pint later, they get pulled up by the press.

Secondly, tthis green and pleasant country of ours has gone PC mad. I don't agree with racism but we need to understand the difference between what is racist and what is friendly banter.

Ok, just look at it from the BBC's view, would you employ a bollshy workman who has had repeated warnings, swung a punch at you and tries to make you look a fool by pushing you to the limit,, i wouldn't, he would be down the road as soon as.

On the other hand we do live in a namby pamby state that is so far removed from the era i grew up in , where been an individual with strong views is deemed a troublemaker, so in that case good luck to him.
