nice job ,shame about your arm ,that ur oil n steel ?

Its an italmec r 16 , but yes it is; plenty of hight for small stuff, outreach is ok ,ish, but they are a bit sway inclined and the legs dont give you enough latitude on sloping ground,(probably a good thing for safety), oh and nose weighted on the basket end when loading on a trailer.

the one handed shot from the cherry picker says it all, ouch!!i hate the 2 sided hedge cutters, i only work woth the single blade hand held ones, i find them easier to use on your wrists and arms and 50%less chance of cutting yourself..hope it heals quick jeff..easy done at the end of a long day

Yep , not good to single hand them, that was after the injury, just catching the stand ups that catch your eye when you get a floor perspective of the job. truth be known i had gone out of the basket to get to an awkward place to access ,the middle of the hedge at that point was all dead, hence brittle fracture of my footing , the rest is a small slice of history! done me arm at mid day, finnishsd the job at 5 o,clock, no further mistakes, trying to keep it that way!:001_smile:

This is what you want for slopey ground Geoff, doesn't look that slopey but if you look at the factory at the bottom of the hill you can see just what a slope it was!!

It was a 1:4 hill and we did an un-authorised road closure which I really enjoyed doing because it's a mega ratrun :001_cool:

I have had this mewp setup on a flight of stone steps a few time, one of the very few that can actually do that.

Outreach = 11m from centre of machine

Very similar to Italmec 21

It's the Basket RQG18.

When I looked at them at the APF I found the italmecs exactly as you did, a bit to much sway in them so sacrificed the extra three metres and went for the RQG18, which was much more solid

Awesome machine, despite the odd niggle I think it is one of the best "all round" machines available.

If I had to buy another it would be the Teupen Leo 25 below.

I have read the thread a few times......................:confused1:what the significance of the van door?????:confused1:

Saw it on way to work, found the sign writing amusing(left hand door replaced), leaving'catering vice industry', hope this explains it.:001_smile:

Yup had one of those on the job in Essex, they are splendid an a wicked reach too, not that expensive either compared to the Iron n Shivver ones-£65,000 I think.
