As there is a pedant thread running regarding spelling and grammar, here is my pet hate, WHY oh WHY do people post "PM sent" in a thread??????

 

If you wish to PM someone just do it!!!

 

Why do people feel the need to tell everyone they have sent the thread poster a PM????????:confused1:

I must admit, I do wonder why also. It's not something that really bothers me though, or the grammar issue either.

I've always assumed that it's to show who expressed their interest first in what may be for sale on the thread.

My pet hate is people pointing out poor spelling and grammar. I come on arbtalk to chill out not worry about thing that are never going to affect me.

 

I'll put pm sent if it's cord for sale as I like the poster to know I'm interested.
