Not sure that's the general thing, I know what next years accountancy bill is going to be but my accountants have no idea what my turnover will be.

Every accountant I have used has charged roughly by the amount of time it takes.

When I started using a book keeper my turnover never went down but my accountants bill did.

That sounds a lot better price we pay under £300 a year which includes my self assessment and 4 visits to my home each year.

Sounds like he is going to trawl through all your receipts and make some accounts for you backdating everything and putting it into his program or a spreadsheet (which you can use in future) if this is right I'd say that's fair enough it'll take ages and be a horrible job. After that if expect to pay £2-300 for you on your own below the VAT threshold

Some might do I suppose. Mine certainly doesn't. Flat £275 a year. I do however present her everything in an easily read format. I know of some people who just turn up at their accountants with a bag full of receipts and invoices..I would expect to pay more if I kept my books that poorly!
