Just a quick vid for any one who's not done it but thinking about a muffler mod.

The saw is wearing a brand new un sharpened chain in both cuts but I think it goes a way to show how pick up and power is improved with a 9 mm drill and a few minutes turning the saw in to some thing more useable.

I was going to ask what stopped the swarf from reaching the CYL

I'm thinking about putting a 10mm hole in mine

But think I take my exhaust off the saw though lol

Looks worth doing mate

Swarf should get blown straight out, you can hear it rattling if it's in there so obviously try not to tip the saw in a position it would go down the cylinder. Have done two like this now with no problems and great results 👍

Good comparison there mate. I did mine quite some time ago and the difference s like night and day!

Also bear in mind that after you modded the exhaust the taper of the timber is getting fatter and it still cuts much quicker.

We did our new one last week, we were commenting on the massive difference, its like a different saw. Its not that much noisier either, still way quieter than all our other saws.
