As I have a new wife I suppose I had better make an effort, always wanted to buy her a Wifey Valentines Card.

I always thought Valentines were supposed to come from secret admirers and were for kids in their teens. Saying that, we keep a card in the sideboard drawer and take it in turns to take it out and put it on the mantelpiece. It's her turn this year.

Christ! Valentines, I'd completely forgotten. Trouble is I've set the bar very high in the last few years.

2 years ago. Long weekend in Barcelona.

3 years ago. Little red MG.

I'm gonna struggle to match that this year.

Card and a bottle of Cava might have to do.

Had to go to Brussels this week on business. The chocolate shops are open until 11pm - that is late enough for even me to get round to sorting something.
