I'm going to buy some new boots this week. They won't be used for climbing, but I want them too be lighter and less bulky than the oregon boots I have been using for 2 years. I've got £170 to spend and no more so I have a choice from Radmore of

Arbotec hydrofell £143

Stein explorer £155

Husky technical £158

Stein wolf £168

Haix airpower gold £170

I am naturally drawn to the cheapest and the most expensive... Im going to go and try them on before I buy, but really I need to know which of these boots to avoid? Thanks

Is purchasing from radmore a must?

I know everyone goes on about air streams, but they are great. Sure somewhere would do them for £170. I Got mine yesterday and love them.

I've had both pairs of steins avoid IMO I would go for the hiax or push my budget and get some air streams there by far the best boots I've ever brought and have out lasted any others I have owned

Whatever you get, make sure they are fully waterproof.

I spent most of today up to the hems of my keks in a flooded field, and the feeling of having dry feet in my Airstreams was the only good thing that happened today after this mornings boner.

Back on the Gingko?

Every little helps at my age Al!

I was a 9 in Haix and take a 9 in Airstreams mate, if you're worried about mail order, I found they size up pretty much the same.

Boots are a pretty individual thing, mind.
