Too many bunny huggers are the reason so many pest species are seeing numbers increase year after year. Then The government pick up the bill for an organised cull because things are out of hand. Badgers now squirrels and I don't think it'll be long before deer are being culled in the south because sportsmen don't have a big enough impAct any more. Hunting has become taboo

There's plenty of places where there's just grey and no red left. Getting rid of all the greys isn't magically going to produce reds. Now if there were a concerted effort to reintroduce the red. Bit of a knee jerk reaction too late. Throw a bundle of cash at landowners and the cuddly reds will be romping through the woods. I can see big landowners making a killing.

You need a concentrated effort of eradication of the grey squirrel first, the grey squirrel carries a disease fatal to reds!
