We were woking on a windblown tree over a stream the other day. Had to abandon the saw boots and wear waders During the day we had a conversation wondering if anyone makes waders with saw wellies built into them?

 

I always do this sort of work my self as i worry about sending the lads in with no protection (from a libality side )

Yes you can get them I have a pair. I can't remember who made them though. I'm sure someone will know

I hate wearing waders and would rather go in the water with an old pair of boots and trousers and just get wet. Bit cold this time of year tho.

never mind the saw wellies what about leg protection ? personally i put regular waders on and climb in and don't worry about leg or foot protection.......needs must, If the weather ain't too cold i climb in wearing me chainsaw boots and trousers and just get wet.

Silly question but couldn't you just wear waders and wear some chainsaw chaps?

 

If the waters deep enough to have to wear waders I would hope the saw wouldn't be anywhere near my feet!

i use to wear cutting trousers under them, i got them for skidding timber out a swamp/river so you could come out the deeper water and still convert the timber up on dry land knowing your feet were still protected.

i just put my waders over my chainsaw trousers yes feet not protected but legs are downside was it hot work and very restricted. if i was doing a lot of river work invest in a pair of chainsaw waders who makes them no idear

Seen loafs of chainsaw waders on ebay admitted thst there just cheapo stuff

Most of my tree work is in the water these days and we use waders with chainsaw wellies on the bottom or a dry suit with chainsaw wellies attached, you still need to whear your chainsaw trousers under them tho.
