Well I'll be damned. Is that little lobe pump ( the one under the stainless steel workbench) at your partners ice cream factory still going strong, after it was repaired earlier in the year?

Small world eh Mr Egg?

As far as I know the lobe pump is doing grand. Mrs Idiot is in Sheffield at the moment but I'll ask her when she gets back

Small world indeed. A company I do some work for took the pump out. I repaired it and reinstalled it.

Your kind partner gave me three tubs of ice cream.....delicious!:thumbup1:

Thanks Egg:thumbup: I suspect you probably got us out of a pickle there.

Should have added free ice cream to the Woodland job description!

Sorry for butting in, but yorkshire tea is the best well flavoured tea you will get any where.

Only if you make it with Yorkshire water though :001_tt2: Don't use it out of the River Rother though or it'll be like soup. The Rother flows through here and it's little more than a brook. It flows from Derbyshire into Yorkshire and is odd in that it flows the opposite way to all the others round here. A bit off topic but somebody might be interested :001_smile: Mrs. Idiot ? I bet she loves it when you call her that  She's not far from here then tell her hello.

P.S. Co-op 99 loose leaf is the best tea.

Just had it confirmed Egg. Mrs Idiot was indeed eternally grateful for the assistance with the pump. She can't pot up the icecream without it. You saved the day!

Look V.I. It quite obvious you are a " top banana superb geezer ! " to work with/alongside . Any one not taking advantage of what you offer ( assuming they are in a position to do so ) will loose out big time . If your Auntie had bollox she would be your uncle . Don't let "If " get in the way " if " there is any chance of swerving it you people !

Thanks Stubby:thumbup::thumbup: It is really kind of you to go to the effort of posting that. I am quite touched:blushing:

I can completely understand people being cautious. I am asking people to take a huge leap of faith- to come and work alongside someone they have never met, doing a job they may not be familiar with in a place they don't know with no absolute guarentee they can earn what they need to! Definitely not a decision to be taken lightly!

There is plenty of 'romance' to working in the woods, but as a lot of you will know doing it commercially involves a lot of strenuous labour, discomfort, repetition and frustration. For me, the joy of being in that ever changing environment and contributing to its rejuvination easily outweighs the negatives, but this won't be the case for everybody.

Not wanting to put anyone off though, cause it will probably be bloody brilliant.

I have had some great responses from people via PM's and I look forward to meeting them soon. Anyone else, give it some hard thought and do get in touch if you'd like, and remember there's no harm in just coming to have a look. I'm always up for a walk in the woods:biggrin:
