Had a little blast on Tachyon today. Can't really offer a firm opinion yet as it was lashing it down all day! What fun.

John have you noticed my advanced tethering point? A bit of used zingit and a ring of one of the good ladies handbags!

Made a new tending point, credit to Dmc for the idea. Seems to work pretty well

Why so technical?

Would a short length of para cord not do the same thing?

There's no way that's spliced anyway. I've seen the size of your fingers.

Wow! What an amazing piece of work! I really hate to be the bearer of bad news but things can change fast with new tools. A better spot has been found for the tender. It needs to be on just the top arms, in between the two upper links. I drilled a hole and set a metal pin for mine. Others have used bungee or throw line.

Not got a rope runner yet or climbed on one but have a Bulldg bone. Very nice to climb on so far and getting better each time. Probably a combination of getting used to the sensitivity and the ropes and device running in.

Hi rich could I ask , if you where doing a short climb to another higher limb & it wasn't worth clipping to your neck/ chest tether , would you just take your weight of the rope & devise and pull your tail up to push the bone up ?? I've only had one go on my bone & it was raining / cold & abit push to get job done :)

If it is just small shunts to a higher limb etc then i would probably put into pantin and then advance the bone by hand.

More often than not I can't be arsed with that so I just pull myself up on the rope and then tend as though it was a vt on a HC climber system. I know this isn't ergonomical but it is a habit I need to get out of.
