Veg Juicing breakfast

Hear your points Tom, but in my case raw fruit and veg can create some real serious issues, in their whole form. Juicing them would get me the nutritious content without the digestive issues. Fibre for me is not an essential, in fact can be seriously detrimental if I have too much, so again juicing is a sensible alternative. I have spoken to my specialist nurse about this and it's not something they've recommended, because every patient is completely different, but her take on it is it's worth a try, a little to start, then build it up. As for sugars, well I used to eat a lot of chocolate, like a huge galaxy bar a day, I don't eat chocolate any more, I don't drink alcohol any more and I don't smoke, hell I want something in life that's a bit exciting :biggrin:

 

oops, missed this post before. I guess you fall in a special decolonised bracket with particular dietary requirements so I guess its juice party for you :thumbup:

I think you're missing the point Tom...its juicing all the veggies aswell remember which don't have all the sugar that the fruits do

 

My take is that it is not just about sugars, but that everything that is left is in a more concentrated form........ and is this a good thing.

 

I think that the whole question about foods is very confusing. We as a bunch of amateurs have a particular take on it based on our own personal experiences and what we have read and even the professionals dont seem to agree and not a day goes by without the press going on about new discoveries on how the body works and what is good or bad for it. Even the younger members on here have probably experienced the wild swings of nutritional advice - one day red wine is bad for you, the next its the best thing ever, not to mention all the others over the years.

I find it all very interesting, but take it with a pinch of salt - proverbially speaking of course :lol:. The strategy that works for me is to have a varied diet and have a little bit of many things - that way anything that turns out to be bad is a relatively small proportion of my diet. As they say, variety is the spice of life.................... so live a varied life and be well seasoned :thumbup1:

Do you add water or did those few things really make 3 glass fulls?

 

 

There not huge glasses Steve but yes those ingredients did make that much juice, because it is pressed out rather than spun or squeezed you get more juice.
