ok guys, picked the saw up this morning, fired her up etc, went to cut first tree, put the gob in fine, went to put the back cut in and it spluttered a bit, done this a few times but only when the saw was on its side,it was going great guns yesterday as usual,it seems to do it more when the saw was full, eventually it goes ok until its left to go cold again, kind of like water in the carb type thing, plug and filter good, anyone else had any bother with these saws ?

I know its a new saw but it sounds like it could be a tank breather issue, if the tank is full there is very little air in the tank,so it plays fairly quickly.

i was thinkin that aswell,it doesn't make a difference when you loosen the cap though, the wee black electric box that sits on top of the carb maybe the issue im thinkin

Sounds as though it could be a leaking tank breather vent. ive had a few of these fail on 550xp and t540xp's. They end up pushing extra fuel into the carb, but the setup is different on the new 576xp.

I think the changed the design so maybe yours is leaking and causing problems.

Mark ...How does a breather leak ? :001_smile: only kidding I have had them leak fuel out but not in .

The 576XP does not have the breather fed into the filter elbow like the 560/550 so there is no chance of it feeding fuel in here, the 576 has first generation auto tune, it was never my favorite system, i did convert a few back to standard ( carb ) with good results, this auto tune cannot be re programmed, you can reset them with three nine volt batteries but this never seemed to help us much.
