Not done it on top, but I have chucked them in it wrapped in foil

 

how did you get on or was they burned out when you unfoiled them as i would of thought the foil would burn off etc ??

They take about an hour maybe a little more. It's pretty much the same principle as putting them on a camp fire, makes a nice crispy skin
