just a quicky spud question please

How or has anyone tried doing jacket spuds ontop of there woodstove does it work etc as i have two wrapped in foil on a trivet to try see if it will work ??

how did you get on or was they burned out when you unfoiled them as i would of thought the foil would burn off etc ??

They take about an hour maybe a little more. It's pretty much the same principle as putting them on a camp fire, makes a nice crispy skin

Chuck them into the embers of the fire wrapped in foil (doubled up is a good idea), and tell the kids they are dragon eggs! Works good if you get the timing right.

Maybe if you put an upturned pan or something over it to create an oven it would work on the top...
