Alot of it is burnt out down here, and we also have a dedicated council dept for destroying /eradicating it.

 

Having said that we are on a council farm and have a very good crop this year!!

I reckon i might start testing different control measures and report back.

Cut the stems at waist height, and fill them up with glyphosate..and then keep spraying!!!

 

Japanese Knotweed is a sod to get rid of, we've just managed to get rid of a small patch in a woodland site and that was with re spraying every couple of months and burning after we had killed it the first time..... the re-emergence should be sprayed as soon as it starts coming up.

 

You could use propyzamide (kerb) as well, it's residual and shuld help stop the

re-emergence.
