Hi all.

does anybody have an idea what wood this is ?.

a friend dropped off a lump of it for me to mill. ive never been great at identifying trees after they have been cut into sections. my friend recons its elm.... he err ehm hmm thinks

i never thought anything of it until i done the first cut and had a look at it.

in my experience elm is a harder wood to cut than this is and the wood color is darker than this.
