Was considering having a go at bundling billets. I know Difflock looked at various options for strapping. I was wondering about using gripples and wire. If the wire was left over length you could just cut off close to the gripple, pull through the offcut and reuse the wire and gripple next year.

Thoughts?

Don't know how easy it would be to operate my tensioners around the curve of a bundle but I like the idea. My method of rebundling fencing stakes after I've soaked em in creosote is to use a lightweight ratchet strap to tension and then big baler band to take the strain. I put a twitch in the band to get it drum tight.

Hmmm:001_huh::thumbup1:

but how does one slacken the wire, or just knock a billet or two out lenghtwise first perhaps?

Not sure but from what I have read on here they come loose when dry anyway. Just thought with a gripple you could retighten mid season if needed. When their all done just cut the wire next to the gripple and as there is spare wire it can be reused. Not saying it will work just an idea.
