Get some NZ standard chainsaw trousers ansd you wont believe how thin they are! do make summer bearable though-i use the Husky trousers with zipped vents at the back and new Clogger trousers (only $230, made to measure too)

I've got the Gladiators type A which I like a lot but I recently cut the internal gaiter bit out at the end of the legs, which lets more air circulate. Certainly cooler than equivalent Husky pairs but can't believe I paid £175 and then butchered them!

I love my stretch airs type c :001_tt1: good fit comfortable !! not the cheapest ! but you gets what you pay for ! saying that just ordered 2 pairs of type A stretch airs today for myself and a mate ...to try on these really hot days. Hi-flex maybe cheaper but sizing mad and they don't last long imo:001_smile:

I am on my 6th pair of stretch airs in less than a year, the zips just tear from the bottom, i got a replacment pair yesterday and within the hour the zip had gone. Not sure if i am walking funny!!!!!!!!!

The type C's are very warm though compaired to my hi flex but they Stihls are not as robust.

I've been wearing stretch airs for 6 years now (and I just got my 3rd pair at the AA show). They ARE overpriced, but they are so much more hardwearing, you get your money back twice over in the long run. With regard to the zip, make sure your do the fly up when you wash them. The first pair I bought 6 years ago (the red ones) are still my spare pair, they are looking tatty and the pockets are shot, but they are still good to use.

apparently pfanner say that braces should be worn with their trousers to prevent strain on the fly area or so i was told at the aa on the fletcher stewart stand.

Correct that is what Pfanner advise, as with a belt some people like to wear there trousers halfway down there arse (apparently this is cool). :confused1:

The weight of the trousers is better held up with braces, but each to their own.:001_smile:
