Chainsaw arm protectors

Ok lads & lasses, who has any experience of using these, the forearm protectors, thinking of employing one on my left arm after a close call,( don't ask, I want feedback, not a bollocking)!

Pro's & cons welcome.

When cutting and holding (not that I would ever be an advocate for such appalling and illegal activity) start the cut with your free hand well away, only once the saw has bitten into the timber and cannot skid do you hold with your free hand.
