Can you not put this chip into some sort of bio digesting methane electricity producing gizmo. There is a big farm up the spends all summer tipping leafy crop stuff into a big swimming pool. I assume they must get something out at the end.

Only a short term problem come next April you will be able to burn for generation and the price will go up again. Those who can will be building up stock while the price is low.

Last year we were scratching around trying to find joinery off cuts and reject timber to turn into kindling. This year we are over run with the stuff because its not worth turning into chip or plugs for others. Will we be scratching around again when they start burning again ?

Certainly will make sure you have a good stock pile while its still available.

No it isn't, especially when they send one artic at 8.30 then three together at 3pm:thumbdown:.

We only got £3 ton

They said that was to cover cost of someone coming in to load at £40 hr

 

We only gave free tip for chip as we would load 5 lorries in day so 5x27 ton x£3 ton was good money for forklift and operator for day

I am surprised the Monopolies commission or the CMA as they are now known have not had a peek at this. I am pretty sure there is a profit in chip if Stobart are involved, they just dont choose to share it about.
