I have to say that although it's a very emotive powerful bit of film , the fact that it is at its core a marketing tool taints it for me. Maybe I'm being cynical, anything that keeps the memory of what happened alive has got to be ok

I agree with you entirely John.....I like the sentiment behind the advert ...... but they aint getting my money.

Very well made, and although paid for by Sainsburys, its not trying to sell anything.

 

Good on them for supporting the British Legion, and whats the harm if they score a point over their rivals.

That probably needs to be put into perspective imo

The RBL will receive 50p from every £1 bar sold of Belgian chocolate made in the town of Ypres.

Be interesting to see just how much that will amount to, although any amount is good, but can't help feeling that will help soften the critics of the add.

 

Sorry I don't really agree with it and feel it's a very disrespectful marketing ploy.
