4 days in hospital. Tough lad. Glad he made a full recovery,

I'd love to know the whole story though. I've not heard of a harness failing before.

Someone on here must know the full story or him in person ,its a small world .

They did well removing the harness with a spinal injury .

Happy ending either way for family .

They removed every thing not just harness.:blushing:

Yep I know that which is the norm ,what I was trying to get at is say he was wearing a tree harness or a scaffolders harness ,which one would the ambulance crew struggle with cutting off without the help of fire rescue.

They surely not pull it down with spinal injury,so he may of been wearing a scaffold harness which bring its own problems .

The plot would thicken then.

Just surmising.

I come off my ktm enduro bike 3 years ago & broke both legs, once I got to hospital the staff cut my motocross boots off with out much effort they used a pair of angled sissor type tool, so cutting tro a harness shouldn't be to much of a problem but I bet the chainsaw bottoms was a challange !!

I carry a tool in the van for cutting seat belts off would that be tough enough for a harness. The reason I carry it is I had a head on smash in 1990 the volvo coming the other way took out my door pillar. The police think either I did not have a seat belt on or a big loop was caught up under the seat because it did not remove my head. Probably the only time a seat belt could do you harm. I still always wear a seat belt, windscreens and steering wheels hurt but carry a belt cutting tool.
