if you are on uneven ground i would rather be standing on the back of a skid steer than sitting in a tractor if it rolls over far easier to jump off the back off a skid steer than get out of a tractor skids are far more manoeuvrable than a tractor in confined spaces if you are mostly domestic i would reckon skid steer if its bigger jobs/forestry avant the vermeer isn't a lightweight tool either different horses for different courses the vermeer you can run a grinder off it as well i believe

i used a skid steer where i used to work. Absolutely fantastic piece of kit!

Brilliant for garden work, tight access. as for skids ripping the ground up, we used to have about 10 ply sheets we used to pop down. made less mess than a few bloakes trapesing back and forth.

The machine in question, a vermeer, had a grab on it which was like so cool and could lift hell of a weight.

If i had more profitable work on i would get one, as is i will stick with the imagrants, cant beat them for price. £20 a day. then i take a 10 of for their lodgings. Its a no brainer!

How did you manage to purchase that? after about 5 calls and as many emails the dealer still never contacted me! really poor.

Shame to hear they still have the same bad customer service.

As I have said before, if they don't return calls for a sale what chance have you got if it goes wrong, especially under warranty.

Shame, as on paper it appeared the best of the bunch for me.

How long ago did you have trouble? I got mine earlier this year and have never had a problem getting hold of them. I am always ringing up to find out about buying new shinney attachments! Is this the number you had 01666 500123?

I dunno Nick was a while ago now, what model have you got?
