We are clearing a site in Amesbury later in the year and there will be app 100 tons of various timber all shapes and sizes coming off. It will be on the truck anyway and going to a burn site very near to site, so if there are any log goblins in or around Amesbury that will cough up the diesel money I will deliver it in.

I had timber stolen from site months ago, knew who thief was so visited his house and asked him to make good token sum of £50 or I'd call the police, he was arrogant and more or less told me to eff off.

I've just heard he's up in court this week regarding the theft... and would like to pay the £50 for me to drop charges! Not sure if that's even possible now but I've declined anyway

I'm amazed the CPS even let it go to court, sadly there's been log thefts round here on a large scale and there's been one person I know of prosecuted and that was due to CCTV.

Keep pushing and hopefully you will get a result good luck.
