Would of thought you are better sticking on 404 and using the torque to your advantage with the 880 john.

I find them slower , but great for milling but they drink fuel and are heavy and not much fun to use up a tree hence why I would recommend the smaller saw.

How do you find the 660 on a 36" bar next to the 880 John?.

 

HI MATTY re 660 on a 3ft i like my 880 better on large stuff BUT LIKE YOU SAID I do not go up a tree and i think for what the 880 cuts there good on fuel i run my 660 on 25/30" max mate thanks jon

My 3120xp running a 24 inch bar all the time but also got 36 and 42 inch for it. Cracking saw especially for what I paid for it bit heavy for.long periods of use but a fantastic saw

I had a 3120, way too big and heavy. I always took the 395 over the 3120, I then sold the 3120 and I've never thought I wish I kept it.

Seeing the 3120 is an 80's saw I wonder if husky have plans on replacing the beast.

The 394/395 isn't far behind the 3120 with age! Both use the same design in terms of engine and drive, I can't remember if the 394 has air injection?

Be wary on running 3/8 on the bigger saws, they stretch and break all to easily. I have broken 3 on my 28inch 3120, none had got even close to 1/2 way through there cutter length.

 

LOVE the 3120. its my go to bombing down saw, makes the 395 and 66's seem like clockwatchers
