dave, does it say what decibel level the peltor ear defenders are rated for as i would be good to compare decibel readings?.

I got a stein..love it.only drawback i find with the smoked and clear visors is that when it rains you need windscreen wipers on it..cant see nothing, so i got a mesh visor on mine now.

nice one. looks like theres valid arguments for both. i hear new HSE legeslation in from feb 2010: climbers helmets must have side inpact protection. presumably both helmets have this? think i'm going for the petzels. tried and tested.

my mate has the stein and says the padding cancels out the vents - gets really hot and sweaty and ends up stinking!

 

 

has anyone used the edelrid helmet?
