I have tried most of the boots mentioned and has I do a lot of walking via mower I soon wear boots out in less then 2months regardless what I have paid ,I now buy my boots from Aldi when the tall laced boots come in for £17.99 and they last longer than any of the so called branded boots especially Stihl !!

I'm also looking for a quality toe cap boot - find the made down to a price toecaps don't last and not great on comfort.

Would ideally like something like the Meindl Bergschug -

meindl-bergshoe-gtx

but they cost more than Meindl chainsaw boots (Waldlaufer etc.) which seems daft!

Has anyone tried engelbert-strauss boots - look hopeful ?

S3 Safety Shoes from engelbert strauss

Thanks
