hi all, heres a question for any parents out there with a ranger super cab (or other super cab pickups). Can you get child seats in the back? Thinking of buying one but need to be sure i can get both forward and rear facing seats in the back. it will only be very occasional so doesn't matter if its a bit cramped or whatever. thanks

Hello,

I don't think you will have much success tbh. We have a double cab pick up and our Brittax rear facing baby seat only just fit in at a squash, we have just upgraded the little mans seat to a Brittax forward facing seat, which he now has plenty of room to kick his little feet about. But again the seat does take up quite a lot of room!

Hope this helps? :confused1:

I've got a navara d40 king cab and I couldn't get a maxicosi rear facing baby seat in the back. My 2 year old daughter's maxicosi tobi forward facing seat fits in with the front seat right forward and she's happy enough for occasional use.

Is there a passenger airbag on the rangers? Could you fit the rear facing seat in the front passenger seat?

Thanks for the replies. As long as I can get a forward facing seat in the back the rear facing can go in the front (air bag permitting). As said it will only be occasional. Think I'll take the seats with me when I view it

Your never going to get kids seats in the back of any xtra / space cab pick up, all there good for is bit of storage for kit n saws and more room for driver & passinger to recline seats back

Even the double cabs ant no good unless you like getting kicked all the time as the baby's seats touch the backs of front seats

For what's it's worth guys keep your kids in rear facing seers as long as pos it's the only thing that would of prevented my little boys injures . It's mandatory in Germany up till the age of 8.
