There needs to be a clampdown on spares for these machines to make the selling on harder.

when my crusher got stolen, the manufacturer immediatelly noted the serial number, and would refuse to sell spares for it. In other words, no serial number, no spares.

Its time timberwolf, greenmech etc had the same policy, that way these machines will surface eventually.

these chipper thefts seem to be too common

Depends on the type of tracker. One wired in is easy to find, but I have a small magnetic one that is easily hidden. Even the manufacturer couldnt find it. You ring it and it txts you a google map link to its location. No yearly fees and just needs a sim card toppedup

Please can you give more details.. Where from how much is the unit etc thanks

why don't people fit trackers to these things

we do and proven to work and that's from personal experience

if they had fitted one they would probably have found it before the first post

Not from mine , police will not go on traveller sites as they need armed response , helicopters and a lot of man power...I reported a theft and got the tracker activated on one within 20 mins once and there was no recovery full stop.

When I was insurance assessor sold rolls royce as write off

Scrap man ordered parts from rolls royce

Asked for chassis number was told

" sorry sir that cars been written off and we can't supply parts "

French do similar with forged works of art ( and high end fashion items) if found to be faked they are destroyed - lots of girls lose their " fake louis vitton handbags" at customs
