We got pulled a few years back, we pulled in confident everything was fine, they thought one of our chippers wheel bearings had collapsed, gave us an enforcement notice and to start with wouldn't let us take it back on the road. As our yard was literally 2 mins from the stop they let us take it back at 10 mph. We took the wheel off and it just needed a bolt tightening, took all of 2 minutes to repair. It took longer trying to get the notice removed!

Where abouts did you get pulled, on the A90 ?

watch out that will be on there hit list soon no taco fitted to trucks with trailer attached. £1000 fine. talk about getting money out of small business.

 

 

I am sure we keep having this debate. Pulling a trailer with your own tools or machinery to carry out your work within a 50mile radius is exempt, otherwise anyone towing a chispper needs one!

Just outside mcds in bridge of don just nipped in for a coffee all be it an expensive one. So now got four good tyres and wheels for cheap lol
