There are discs available for Stihl saw

(Disc cutter) designed for cutting sleepers with nails and roots in soil. Etc.. 9" 12" & 16" available. I think the big ones are around £120.

Travis perkins stock them, among others.

Hope this helps.

Been fencing for years and never come across anything to grind roots out at depth, but thought the younger blokes might know of any new tools. I think your idea is about the best, have you seen the size of some of those polish lads?
