Er... your original post was a reasonable question about whether a climber can be assessed purely on speed.

 

What seems to have happened (much like some of your other posts) is that the responses recieved didn't fulfil your underlying agenda - which in this and other cases seems to be knocking groups of people who you dont like. Resorting to insulting people who don't agree with you does your already weak arguements no favours.

 

Basically, from your posts we can assume that you have a problem with consultants, climbers and the Arb Association.

Oh, and yes, i am from the Northeast with ginger hair, even a very big belly, but when i finish climbing i always help the lads on the floor, even though it may mean sweating like a fat lad, but i will not profess to be any more than i am.

From what I've gleaned from this thread, a day rate is just that, a rate of pay for a days work. A good climber is good at climbing, tho a not-so -good climber may be the better arborist. Ginger people shouldnt leave the shade on days like this. A good climbing arborist is a good all-rounder, doesnt mind mucking in ONCE he's finished the tree, had a cuppa and 5mins to get his breath back. Its nt really rocket science is it, its tree work!
