242 has much better throttle response with a muffler mod. However, it has nowhere near the torque the 241 does. It is just a much better limber. With a good MM, the 241 comes in to it's own. It's just the price that scares me.

Yea I used to like the 242on a 13" :001_smile:

Hi been running a 241 with 14" bar and 325 chain sice feb this year in forestry,i have found it to be a light, revey very nimmble saw that you can fell and snedd all day with and it is well on top of its job,it is very kind on the arms as they dont feel like they are going to explode at the end of the day and its not bad on fuel either,i have compared this saw to my 260 s and find it to be much better to use and handle ok its not been flogged to death yet but has done several weeks where it has been run 7-8 hrs a day felling and snedding larch and spruce,i would not think twice about buying another .

I dropped a large bay with my MS250 a few days ago. The other guy on site was Husky through and through- his eyes were on stalks when he saw how quick it was, especially snedding. They handle so well with a short bar on, it's easy to snap the brake on and then hold it in your right hand like you would with a topper.

I'm still waiting for this MS250 to die so I can join you pro boys with your MS241s
