My neighbour..

Last week I was taken down the cherry tree in the front garden and my neighbour asked what I was doing with the wood, I said help yourself but he's asked me to cut it for him-I don't mind.... Then he said I've got wood that needs cut and could I do it for me?? No problem I said....then he said HOW MUCH?

 

I don't mind helping him out but I can't do if for nothing-do you know the price of ASPEN these days

 

Has anyone done it or do it ?

 

And he said its a load of wood he has, what ever that is a van or a boot I'm not sure

Sounds good might do myself out of money because my saw is so fast

Defiantly charge per hour, and be mindful of the fact it may be full of nails or covered in soil

Knee is doing good thanks . You godda look at the job . Is it a pile of jumbled up sticks that are going to hit you in the shin or are they lenghts that could go in a horse or are the great big rounds etc etc factor in the agrivation factor , cost of fuel and your time ( could you be earning more some where else ) daa de daa de daa and give hiom a price !

If you get on with him then, maybe just ask him to cover the fuel and oil, if it's not loads of work. Always worth keeping the neighbours sweet. Otherwise if it's loads or he's a git then £20 an hour, minimum of a full hour sounds ok.

If your running a business from home?? do it for nothing, let him know he owes you one. Good neighbours are worth their weight in gold
