Ranger....hardly any difference from the Mazda...they love them in Austrailier....which tells you something....

might be just me, but I find the hilux/l200 clutches stink with a reversing with trailers etc, never smelt the clutch doing the heaviest trailer shunting with my landy, they are however pretty uncomfortable if you are doing long journeys and most landys have quirks like poor windscreen wiper/doors don't always shut the best, heating can be hit and miss, no doubt the hilux etc is much better in that respect but utility swings it over comfort for me,

again, Ranger is a good all rounder, but again diffs are pretty puny compared to defender, comes down to what the majority of your work entails??

Our old hilux tipper is a home grown job. I just cut down a transit tipper body and fitted it straight to the chassis. Our lot have not managed to kill it off YET

We have a Ranger and a Hilux , the Hilux never gives any trouble and the Ranger is always giving bother .

So when the Ford goes it's another Toyota here . Both 57 plates both around 130k .

We've had both the Land rover will handle the weight better, I much prefer the landy over the ranger.
