He was a very very lucky man not to lose his life yesterday. It just shows how safe the cars are now adays despite him being in intensive care. Fingers crossed he pulls through after that horror smash. The marshalls should have called the race off after half distance.

The man i nthe box was waving green as it was only a local yellow (entry to corner) and green on the exit. When the loader was there is was double waved yellows telling drivers to be extra cautious due to marshalls trackside. It was a combination of standing water, very poor visability and fading light which caused the crash. When Bainchi's car lost traction on the tarmac he was in for the ride unfortunately he hit the back of the loader. Lucky it wasnt a marshall or two.

Matt, I just saw the video, That race should have stopped all together with a FRONT END LOADER REMOVING THE FRAME OF ANOTHER CAR FROM A PREVIOUS CRASH!!!!!!!

Insane comes to mind, and a break down of communication is surely an understatement.

I hope the driver recovers and that any and all race officials face prison time.

I disagree the race should have been stopped. They were on inters not wets. I do think however the safety car should have deployed before the loader was brought on circuit. Hope he pulls through and back to full health.

I agree with you they were on inters on most circuits they would have used a crane in that position it looks like he hit the solid weight on the back of the loader I hope he pulls through .
