2 nuts and a washer locked together protecting the top of the bar from unsuspecting eyes.

Top shelf was ment to be at the top but they had changed the picture in that place since I measured up and didn't have any cutting implement with me to shorten them.

A customer has asked me to make a bench out of a log for his camping area (he has a big garden) so I have made this rustic bench out of a sweet chestnut we felled a few weeks back. Milled on site it's about 8ft long and 250mm thick feet also 250mm thick. Took the bark off and sanded down the tops and ends. Bolted together. Just need to make some dowel for the 4 bolt holes.

Would it be worth coating it in anything or just leave it as is?

And what would you charge for a simple bench like this?
