Yeah well the max rpm for my echo cs-600 is 12,500 but it cuts and handles lovely. Best balanced saw in the world. Not the slimmest, but the ergonomics wow. Funny how the USA who are a thousand years ahead of us UK thicko's use a certain other brand for their hotsaws more than any other; a brand derided here

560 is a much bigger number than 357 though, so it's about 200 better?

i made a mistake the speeds of the two dolmars in the 50cc - 60cc class are 13,800 rpm

not 13,500 as i thought what is the rpm for the 560 before and after the rev boost

 

 

Between 13.5k - 14.2k rpm depending on the coil number

Mine finishes 70-01, it's programmed for 14.2k

Revboost is constant (crank stuffers)

That's because, like husky, they're choked and leave a lot to play with.

Stock it's running the same as a pre-xt 365 husky! But that speed isn't really pro speed any more, maybe the early 80's..

Minor disadvantages? I'd say maintenance is a major disadvantage! Personally I feel no difference in the handling.

But I would still choose the husky over the dolmar. I don't give a rats ass about the dolmar having more torque, nobody here cuts on the max torque band and the husky is faster! Yes, the standard set-up for the husky is crap, but that's easily remedied with a £20 part. It's also the most restricted 60cc saw on the market... But port it and it'll kill anything else! The dolmar may be £140 cheaper but it's more basic! And I'd rather spend the extra £140 on a machine that's always optimally tuned, can compensate for crap mix or an air leak! You've gotta ask yourself, innovator or borrower.

I got a Stihl MS261c last year...bloody awful saw. Its great when it actually gets going...but its a pig to start, whatever we do with it. I got so fed up with it, I gave it to my mate and went out and bought a Husky 550XP...even worse!. I'm going to try a premix fuel, and if thats no good, it'll be the end of Stihl/Husky general worksaws for me - after using them for 20 years! ...thinking of getting an Echo....as long as it doesn't have an electronic carb, I'll be happy!
